Steps to Apply for Google Adsense Program
Any interested webmaster can easily apply for a Google Adsense account. Visit www.google.com/adsense and click on apply. In the account type select whether your account is individual or business. If you are not sure, then click on the question mark to the left. Then choose your country or territory.
In website information you have to state your primary URL. It could be the address of your own site or if you are running a blog then enter its URL.
You have to choose a primary language for your site. Your options are Chinese (simplified), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.
Select the products you are interested in. Adsense for Content means advertisements are related to the contents on your site. For example, you might have carpet ads if the contents on that page are about flooring. In Adsense for Search you add a Google search box to your pages. You can have both on your site to maximize earnings.
Then you have to provide certain contact information to conclude with the applying process. Within few days you will receive an email confirming your account approval.
Are My Google Adsense Earnings Subject to tax?
You have to provide your EIN number if your account type is business. If your account type is individual then your social security number will suffice. Even though you can apply for Google Adsense Program you won’t receive any payments until you submit your tax details.
Google does not withhold taxes but once your earnings reach a certain limit they will send you a 1099. You need not provide this information if you are a Non-US business. You can visit Google Adsense Support site or log onto www.irs.gov for more tax-related information.
